2000 Mustang
OK, My brother in-law is looking at a 2000 Mustang, I have not seen it yet, but I do know the guy wants 7800 dollars US for it. it is a V-6 is this a good price, what do you all think? it is Green coupe. The 99-01's had issues right? it is a V-6 so what should he look for? I am thinking 6500 will be a good offer what do you think? Thanks For All, Doug
I am not aware of any major issues in any 99-01 stang, v6 or GT. I have alot of experience with an 01 automatic v6 and its been a great car. They were prone to haveing a fuel pressure or some kinda sensor (BFPE or something like that) going bad, but its a $15 part from ford.
the 01 i've driven extensivly acctually got 26.7mpg on the last trip we took it on.

I have had only very minor issues with my V6, mainly due to me being inept. (i.e. thinking the fan was on continuously, but it was because I had the ac on :bang: )
He will have fun with that car! The difference in prices make me laugh, $7,600 for a 2000 V6 in the US, my 2000 V6 convertible with 85k on it.........$17k in the UK!!

My 99 V6 has had no trouble. I made trips to Georiga every weekend for a year with no trouble! Just keep up with the maintenance. Do all the oil changes, transmission fluid, rotate the tires and all that healthy stuff. She'll treat him good if he can just do that!
Not to say I don't have problems with it now but I haven't had to fix any of then yet. She runs just fine.

How much did he buy it for? I just bought my 99 GT 3 weeks ago for only 6,700 dollars with leather and everything. So hopefully he got a good deal. Definitely tell him to join here.

Zoran,
I have thought long and hard about this, nearly started doing it with Harley Davidsons until I realised how much beauracracy there is. But I might consider it again.............lemme look into it.
