If I get MIL-eliminators with true duals, would I need cats at all?

mil eliminators keep the cel from coming on for no cats. you will pass as long as the inspector doesn't look under the car for cats (rare that they do). i haven't had cats since ive owned my car and ive passed no problems with mil eliminators.

If caught without cats, would I be charged a fine, or would I just fail the test? I guess it would depend on the inspector
I think I just answered my own question.

I asked my mechanic that does the inspection and repair for our families cars, and all he said was as long as it doesn't throw codes I don't care.

I'll look into that. I know it would be louder without cats, but it would definitely make it deeper too, right? I haven't paid much attention to exhaust vids that had no cats, cause I always thought I would have them.

Depends a o/r x pipe will not sound too good. A H pipe would sound a lot better on a v6.

Agree 100% why would you add loud rasp to an already raspy sound. H pipe all the way!

True duals shouldn't sound raspy?

No I I was talking about X pipes making the v6 too raspy and ricy in my opinion. If you are going to go with true duals go with the H pipe, no one cars about all of 2-3 hp if your car doesn't sound as good. Also true dual exhaust has a mid pip (with either a X or a H) I think you have divorced duals and true duals mixed up blackout.
