WOOOT! 1988 GT with T-Tops!
#1
Well thanks to future9er24 recommending the site he did, by this weekend I will own a 1988 GT with t-tops. The body is a little beat up, and it needs a new clutch but she is so beautiful to me. This is the car I wanted when I was younger but never found one for sale. Due to the car needing a clutch and some minor body work I will walk away with the car for $1720. I only have the pictures from the original ad, but I will try to get my wife to take better ones. I am a little jealous that my wife gets to drive it first; I still have to wait till November to even touch my new pony.

'88 was the last year for the T-top. Ford stopped making them half way through the model year. I think California had mass air on Ford's before the rest of the country.

Thank you. Well I just received an email from the soon to be ex-owner. According to him the odometer only has 46k on it, but I’m not sure about that. He says it was parked for a few years because he needed to replace the clutch. That’s fine with me; I have a King Cobra clutch waiting to go into it anyway. He says the hatch has a little rust on it, but that is the only part with rust. That’s ok with me too. I don’t think hatches are expensive are they? He also said it needs paint, well that’s fine too as I plan to repaint the car. The only bad thing is that all this stuff has to wait till I get back from the Arabian Gulf in November…. That so sucks!!
So I have a question for all my fellow Mustang aficionados. Ok, here is the plan for my Crazy88. A Cobra body kit with silver paint (maybe with blue stripes). I am a little torn on rims though. And since the ships internet is so slow, it takes forever to look at rims. I like the Welds that are solid with the small holes, and I also like Y2K Cobra rims. Any other suggestions on rims?

I agree with Chris on the Cobra rims, if you get Cobra's, get a five lug and bigger brakes(the spokes are too skinny for stock brakes). I like welds, or stocks, both look great!
Congrats on the car Aaron!!

95 R or 00 R wheels would be gorgeous on that car (along with a 5 lug covnersion and cobra brakes, of course) Only get welds (the small ones with the holes are called DRAGLITES) if u plan on making it a track only machine. ever try to turn a corner on a rough road with skinnies? lol.
