Hey all

I have a 1986 gt 5.0 hatch

My issue is: when the key is turned in the on or forward position, my stereo cuts out if i use the elecric window, etc but if the key is turned back and i load the window it doesnt affect the stereo...altenator is fine...what could this be?

This is what one person mentioned: "Maybe someone wired the stereo constant or ignition wire to the window circuit."

Next Stage: "Ok...so the last stereo installer wired the solid red wire from the clarion stereo to a yellow/black stripe Ford indash wire...and the solid yellow wire from the clarion stereo to a light green/yellow stripe Ford indash wire...and there is a blue/red stripe wire not connected to anything just hanging.(from what i learned, those two ford wires are part of the electric window circuitry)???? Now just recently i located an article that states, the two in dash Ford wires that the Clarion should be connected too are; Blue/Black stripe and Blue/Red stripe. Can anyone clarify this? lastly, where would the Blue/Black stripe wire be located? already know where the blue/red stripe is."

Mine's a 90 model, so it may be different. But my red stereo wire is connected to a yellow wire with a black sttipe, and my yellow stereo wire is connected to a green wire with a yellow stripe.

NO way....and what does it tell you those two wires are and what circutry are they on ? dam...thats what the clarion red and yellow wires are wired to atm also.
