So I'm still trying to get my 91 GT all ready for the road and I've ran into yet another problem. The passenger side window wouldn't roll up or down and the lock wouldn't work. I noticed that there were wires sticking out from under the door panel and when I took it off there are 5 wires disconnected. If I hook them together one way the window will roll up but not down and if I switch them it is just the opposite. Can anyone steer me in the right direction. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

 

Sounds like some genius cut a harness connector off. Can you tell me what color wires you have as I have several connectors and switches from an 89 I scrapped. I would let them go cheap if you needed them.

 

I'll have to look at it tomorrow but it seems like they are all the same color "red", idk what the last person did but it's all messed up. Do they make just a harness for the door? It seems like that would be my best bet.

 

There is a through the door harness and then depending on options there are others that connect to it. I will try and get photos of what I have for you. I believe I have all the switches and wiring for 2 complete power doors with motors and solenoids along with all the regulators and glass. If all the wires are red then I would look inside the passenger and driver kick panels to see if the previous owner just tapped into the body harness for power with 1 color wire, then ran it to multiple switches. I will post when I wake up as I just got done with work.

 

Here is what I have found so far. I have both window motors and left and right door harnesses that look unmolested.
