A 1991 GT,it was a friend of mine who owned it. I played designated driver right after he got it in 92.I took it home after dropping him and some friends off. Next morning as the wife's following me to drop the car at his house I decide to stomp on it coming out of my driveway. Well, needless to say it did a complete 360 (thank god there was no traffic). The wife had a real nasty look on her face as to say "your hiney is mine after we drop it off"...and she did.Ever since then I've wanted one. I'm 35 now and she's actually in agreement I should get rid of the Jeep and get the 05 GT...sweet!

A 84 SVO that a Buddy had. It was kick butt. I was a mustang fan before but that sucked me in. Now I have owned 3 Fox body stangs!

79cobra, Too bad I didn't get on this forum a few months ago. I had a few of the trx rims laying around. they were akso from a 79 glx 5.0 I had back in 87. Do you have the typical crack in the floor pan under the drivers seat?
no I don't, I am amazed how original this car is. There are no cracks in the unibody, eiher in the floorpan or above the sail panels. I put it up on the rack at the dealership when I bought it and I think the muffler is the original one, it still has the Ford stamp on it.
I am thinking about selling it to the shop forman, I have a convertable bug I can't seem to get rid of. I think I may want a 06 vert but before I spend that kind of money I want to own a cheaper one first to see if I really like them.

The first one I owned was 1979 2.3L Coupe, bought it in 1981. Remember the gas crunch?

B) B) B)
I had a 79 5.0 Ghia during the same period! (1981-86)... 14MPG out of 139HP

My first 'pony ride' was in a red 1967 390 4sp at 15 1/2 when my dad and I were looking at cars for me. It was even a clapped out beater back then. The last thing we needed was a big block Mustang while in the effects of the '79 Iran oil embargo

My dad 73 Mach 1 was the first time I rode in a mustang i was like 5 i think or at least as far back as I can remember(It's in the garage now, runs good too). Has a 429 Police Interceptor, he scared the heak out of me one day when he floored it going over a hill. Now i'm 19, in college and have my own...1992 Twilight Blue and silver GT, love it so much I don't drive it in the rain and of course in the winter.

My dad works for ford... back in '93, he rolled home in a brand new SN-95 the day they came out. Laser red GT coupe. I've loved mustangs ever since... especially the 5.0's, specifically foxes. My first fox ride was in my cousin's old 82 GT... with the big hood scoop and all. He got it in about '95.

Drove a 2.3L 1991 LX through high school. Now I'm in college, and I got an 89 5.0 convertable. I guess technically it's the 25th year anniversary, since it's got the little plaque on the dash that says so and it used to have the premium speaker system before I replaced them with something a little more modern, in the tune of a par of 1000 watt speakers & a 10 CD changer.

I remember being in the back of a 80's hatchback stang my dad drove for a while. I guess the ride was nothing out of this world, because my interest in mustangs did not develop until a lot later

My first drive in a Mustang was in a 1989 Mustang 5.0 5speed. Which was my first car. I got it on my 15th birthday but I could not drive it until I got my permit. I turned 15 Feb. 27 2004. The orignal color was Red but somebody painted it with spraycans. It looked like crap. My dad took it and had it painted silver, now it is a very nice car. By the way I still have this car!

I hate to date myself, but in 1967 my brother bought a new red 67 GT. 390, 4-speed. I was just a little kid then and thought this was the coolest car I had ever seen. He took me for a ride and made me get in the back seat. He pulls out a 20 dollar bill, tapes it to the dash and tells me "its mine if I can grab it by the time he gets it in 4th gear". He tells me to "GO", I lean forward to grab the bill and he punches it. I go flying into the back seat, try to pull myself up to take another shot at the 20. He slames it into 2nd . I go flying backward. Same with 3rd then 4th. Never got that 20. What an great car. The next year my Dad bought a new 68. Thats the car I eventually drove through high school. I've had three Mustangs since. I'll always own a Mustang ...... When I die. Plant me in it.

In 1991 a buddy I worked with was looking at an ad for an '85 Olds Cutlass 442. The same dealer had an '86 Mustang GT. We went down after hours and checked out the cars. My buddy bought his 442 a couple of days later and my next day off I went and looked at the Mustang. I drove it a few miles to a secluded area, got turned around and floored it. That was it for me! I took my black GT with T-Tops home that same day and I've been addicted ever since!

I bought a 1988 Mustang GT 5 spd when I was 14, fixed it up till I was 15, and on my 15th birthday, I got my drivers permit, Dad took me out and taught me to drive it.... He has an 03 Cobra, so I was already a Mustang fan, but that just cemented it

First one was my '69 Grandé boxtop. Got it in November 1976 and drove it for 10 years. Had a 302 2V and automatic. Like all the 60's models, it would bite you in the hiney if you got too aggressive with it.

Understeer can change to oversteer in a BIG hurry!

Gas mileage was terrible.

I absolutely loved it.
