Last night at the track my 86 GT was putting down some good times in the 1/8th 6.33 and 6.36 @ 109, limped on to 10.1 in 1/4. I decided to make a run at less than 10 in the 1/4 so I dialed in a little more timing and made a strong burn out, and footbraked it as hard as I could, WOW did I get a surprise on the start, before I could let off the front tires were 4 feet off the ground. We got it on video tape, this next weekend I will try to get it converted to digital and see if I can get it on here for you to see.
Yeah, I thought I was going onto the roof.
video is up!
What is on the video;
1) some footage of the engine running
2) exhaust and loping sound at idle
3) daytime run with view from front of car that shows drivers wheel is 1 1/2 foot off ground and passenger wheel is just up. Normal start.
4) night time burnout and then Wheel stand, it is from a different view point, part of the wheels are hidden by the barrier, the passenger wheel is up about 2 1/2 to 3 ft, the drivers side was up 4 ft.

Did you manage to come down okay :crossesfingers:
I've seen some guys come down really hard and mess up their shocks and suspension.

I think I had sent you a vid of the car pulling the front tires about 1 foot on the start. That was the norm before last night. My wife was watching last night so now she is lobbying for Wheelie bar!

Came down Okay, I only let off enough to stop the climb, I got back in it before it came down, I was all over the rev limiter but, it did not bounce. Brought it around, checked it out and went back out to run a 6.33.

Well I wish you would change it, cause I get about 100 failed e-mail returns a day in my e-mail stating that e-mail address is not valid. Check the help section, i've posted numerous times on how to disable e-mails.

I hope this works, I am adding a link to the video.
What is on the video;
