what's this?

Does anyone know what this relay goes to? It's forward of the passenger strut tower. I was hoping it was for my turn signals. I havnt got into digging for the problem yet. But this relay is damaged pretty bad.

Tempted to say fuel pump relay (IIRC, its location changed depending on model year), but, what model year is your Mustang?

I'm going with fuel pump relay also. I don't remember off hand what year you have late '92 and '93 they moved it from under drivers seat to under the mass air meter. If have an early fox then maybe a mass air conversion was done with the later year harness or it was just moved.

My fuel pump relay is under the seats. I tried playing with and unplugging it and couldn't find any change in anything. I don't have my fog lights hooked up so maybe its that?

Thanx for the responses though guys. Maybe ill see if I can find them wires in a schematic somewhere.

It must be added or moved by someone. I don't have the relay on my car on the pass side like you I was looking. you can trace it back or like stated it may have something to with the conversion and what they did with the fuel

i figured it out. its the ac relay. it took a while. i couldnt find it in my haynes schematics. but i found a thread on modded mustang.
http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...mpartment.html

when i had the problem in my other thread about the alternator short. as i plugged and uplugged the battery this relay was clickking everytime. thats why i was curious of what it was.

ok so i have ac delete. can i just remover the wire and relay.

the previous owner did the carb conversion. but he did it half @**. he was still running the stock fuel system some how. and all the efi wires and lines where still everywhere. so i adtually did all the technichal stuff. it took many curse words but i have most of it cleaned up know. i actually am using the stock fuel pump relay. but when i removed the tfi module i had to rewire the signal ground on the relay.

thanx guys.
