I put a set of 17" x 9" cobra rims with 275/40/17's and the lugs don't have much to grab. I want to order longer wheel studs and since I am going to add rear discs I would have to do it in the future anyway. Does anyone know what length the stock rear wheel studs are on an '89 Mustang GT with drum brakes? It's a convertible also, but I don't think that matters.

Then those are the wrong type of spacers for your app... What you really need are spacers which bolt to the hub via the stock lugs then have another set of studs to bolt the wheel too.

Toss those slap on spacers out. Dont be cheap because you may KILL somebody you really care about.

NO OTHER SAFTEY SYSTEM IS AS IMPORTANT TO YOUR CAN THAN RIMS AND TIRES. WHEN YOU LOSE EITHER ONE ALL OTHER SAFTEY SYSTEMS ON THE CAR ARE COMPROMISED

Or dont feed the lawyers.

I didn't even know they made spacers like that. The rims I bought came with the spacers so I didn't have a choice. I checked on EBAY and some catalogs... the spacers available with the studs are really fat (1-1/4" thinnest). I only need one 1/2" spacer and one 1/4" spacer. Thanks for the info.
