I have a 88 GT 5.0 that I need to get rid of... I want to try to sell it asap. What do you think I should sell for? I just baught a Dodge Intrepid to drive around until I can afford another stang to work on. Here it is:

1988 Ford Mustang GT 5.0
302 V8 32,000 miles

Edelbrock RPM Intake Manifold (upper)
Edelbrock RPM Intake Manifold (lower)
Edelbrock Timing Chain
BBK 70mm Throttle Body
BBK 70mm Throttle Body EGR Spacer
BBK Cold Air Induction Kit
KNN Air Filter
Mr. Gasket Black Powdercoated Power Pulleys
Mac Long Tube Headers (1 5/8pri.–2 1/2col.)
Mac Pro-Chamber H Pipe
Flowmaster American Thunder Cat Back System
Rebuilt AOD Transmission
Shift Kit
2800 Stall Torque Converter
Ultra Torque Mini Starter
302 V8 from a 91' – 32,000 miles
Energy Suspension Sway Bar End Link Bushing Set
Energy Suspension Sway Bar Bushing Set
Energy Suspension Motor Mounts
Energy Suspension Transmission Mounts
4' Cowl Induction Hood
Weld racing Rims (brushed aluminum)
Autometer Ultra Light Gauges (water temp & oil pressure)
Jegs Oil Pan
3 Row Aluminum Radiator
Taylor 8.8mm Ignition Wires
Bosch Platinum Series Spark Plugs
New Steering Column
New Platinum Battery

Exterior Color: Blue
Interior Color: Grey/Black
Milage: 32,000
pwr. wds./br./str./mrrs.

It DOES NEED WORK though. The heater core is leaking, the AC lines are all plugged up because I was going to remove the compressor but never did, the paint needs help, there is a leak in the sunroof, i had the trans rebuilt but its not shifting correctly, it needs new injectors (I think), strut tower, needs brakes, has a cracked headlight, small chip in the fiberglass hood, quater panel moldings, the motors in the windows need to be replaced, the horn does not honk, and some other minor body work.

Alot of the stuff is minor work but its just work that I dont have the time and money to do right now. And im sorry there is no pic but I dont have a scanner and there is no other way for me to get pics up. Sorry.

IF YOU WERE ME HOW MUCH WOULD YOU ASK FOR IT. Any response would help because im clueless at this point and I need to get rid of the car FAST. Thanks.

I would love to do that but if I had the money to fix it I wouldnt be selling it... ya know what I mean? Im just in over my head with money and I just need to get rid of it as is. I was thinking about taking it over to Maco and get some maco paint on it just to make it look a little bit better but I really dont even have 300 dollars to do that... basically im broke as a joke and I have 2 cars I can barely pay for.

yea I was thinking about doing that but alot of the stuff that I have on there now I would not want to put on another stang (if i get another one)... so i really just want to get rid of everything that I have on it as one. Any fast replies on how much you would pay so that I can get an idea would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.

Doug,

Not wanting to have a go at you mate, but you are a kid who lives at home with his parents. You do not know the meaning of broke. Try missing your mortgage payment 3 months in a row and nearly getting forclosed. Having your ar taken off you etc etc.

88blueGT

The best advice I can give you is to advertise the car at a price you want for it, and keep on reducing it by $500 or $250 every two weeks until you sell it. This is what I have done with the last three cars I have sold and it seems to work.

eBay is a good idea too. I am not too stupid to realize what broke means, lol. Advertise it in paper first for 3500 and describe well, like "some rust needs minor work, 3500BO Need to sell" "Great project car" That stuff catches interest, lol

Yea, that is what I am going to do. I am putting it in the paper tomorrow and hope that I get someone to ****** it up. I think that I am going to put it in the paper for $3800 - $4000 because if thats what I am asking I will only get $3000 for it ya know. If that dosent get rid of it than I will just put it in AutoTrader and pray. LoL. That is about all that I can do at this point. Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate the quick replies! Thanks.

It DOES NEED WORK though. The heater core is leaking, the AC lines are all plugged up because I was going to remove the compressor but never did, the paint needs help, there is a leak in the sunroof, i had the trans rebuilt but its not shifting correctly, it needs new injectors (I think), strut tower, needs brakes, has a cracked headlight, small chip in the fiberglass hood, quater panel moldings, the motors in the windows need to be replaced, the horn does not work, and some very minor body work.

I am asking $4200 OBO. Am willing to negociate.

Nope, My favorite Uncle. He has been looking for a fox, but also wants turbo for his F-150, he has a procharger now, but wants more power, so I am not sure if he will buy it, but he will probably be interested. Good Luck, Have any pictures?

Yea I know... I have it in the For Sale & Wanted section for 4200 obo but I didnt get any replies so I just dropped it to 3700. I am going to try and see if I can put it in public storage for a while. I'm going to call and get some prices today. Hopefully this will work out and I will be able to pull it out in a couple of months.
