A CAI for the 2.3L mustang? If there is, show me.

Good luck with that. When I had my '90 2.3 I looked all over for CAI's and other bolt-on upgrades and didn't find squat. That was a couple years ago, so unless some company has provided one since, your best bet would be to customize your own.

Just make your own....go to the plumbing isle at Lowe's or Home Depot...after all, that is all that Demolet/Densecharger and other Air intake companies do!(not all of them but a couple do) Paint it if you like so that it doesn't look like plumbing supply.

Ya, you have to make your own. Here's a write up from stangnet:

On mine, I just removed the air silencer and added a K&N air filter. At first I didn't notice any difference, but last week I put the air silencer back on, and there was a (definatly) noticible difference. Not "major" but it seemed like my car was dead! I took it off the next day, and the spunk was back.

I did what Paul suggested on my 86 LX. Granted it was carbed but the concept is the same. I wouldn't expect to notice any difference in around town driving but I had a slight improvement at highway speeds. Probably in the 2-3 hp range if that.

It was a fun little project that took a few hours and was inexpensive.

I also had a local shop put in a more aggressive cam a few months later. Again not a huge difference and definitely more expensive but I would take an educated guess that I maybe gained an additional 7-10 hp from that. This mod gave me more low end grunt, if you can really say that about the 2.3, but hey it got me through until I found my 87 GT.

You don't even need that. Bolt the mass air directly to the throttle body and then then a K&N style filter to the mas air meter. Around a 6 inch filter will do. I did this on my 91 and worked great. I didn't expect much out of the mod. However, I honestly felt a difference. Especially in the mid to higher rpm range. The one thing I would recommend is a heat shield. You can make your own or they sell them on ebay for like 20 bucks.

I'm using a MAC CAI that was designed for a 5.0 on my SVO. I also spoke w/MAC and they verified that it would fit. The filter is in the fenderwell.

The tricky part to this was mixing and matching rubber interconnects...
