subframe connectors?

So I also have a 89 gt convertible. I'm looking to install full length frame connectors but I can't seem to find a definite answer as to if hard top ones will work on a vert. I ask cuz there is bracing from the factory on the rear lower torque boxes where the connectors will have to mount. Am I supposed to remove this to install the connectors? I've asked some parts companys ie summit, but they can't give me a definite answer either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yeah. I guess the steeda ones have tabs on them that have to be trimmed and not the car. They (steeda) told me when I hold them up I will see where I have to trim the connector. The steeda benefits are that they are a little thicker material and they come with a torqe box plate while others don't. But besides that most connectors are the same.
