i just got a crazy/strange/cool idea, I wonder what it would look like if I mover the fuel neck from the side to the rear, and maybe get one of the hinged licence plate mounts, or just bolt it onto the rear bumper and put a 69/70 gas cap on it...
Would it look ok?
how much work would be involved?
I already have a 69 grande gas cap... but would it work with the 80 nozzle thing? What do ya'll think?

ANYTHING "can" be done....however you don't realize what you are getting yourself into....it will be a LOT of work....your fuel filler neck is on the side...how do you plan to move that?!? you will have to ditch the stock fuel tank and have a custom fuel cell made with a rear fill...then you will have to remove the tail light panel latch reinforcement to make way for the filler...which means you have to fabricate another reinforcement otherwise your latch will have no support and cause more problems. Not an easy task you are thinking of....

Put a fuel cell in it anyways, those gas tanks are just too much weight
