I was just wondering, my buddy has an 82 Chevy camaro 350 4 bbl and he and I would like to no what car would win in a 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile

why don't you just race and find out for sure instead of speculating and guessing about it??

 

Didn't '82 Camaros have 305's stock, and the 350 wasn't offered untill around '86?

He put a 350 in it and the 82's had 4 cylinders not 305's

 

Not exactly. The 4 cylinder was an optional engine in 1982 Camaro and Firebird, but most came with the 2.8L V6 or the LG4 5.0L 305. The 145 hp 305 was the standard engine on the Z28, with the optional 165 hp Crossfire Injection equipped 305 being the top of the line engine for 82.

 

Wow! you got a good memory dude. Yeah boy those Camaro's were real hotrods back in '82. LOL I bought brand new. My friends were all into Datson Z's back then and every one of theirs would smoke my Z28. I got rid of that car and bought a 260Z.
I'll put my money on the '87 Mustang Gt on that race, even with the Camaro's 350 4bbl. I've had an '88Gt since new and smoked a few Iroc Z28s back into the day with their tuned Port 350's. I don't race like that anymore. I'm too old to go to jail. LOL
