Those Overhaulin projects do turn out well. I wonder about the quality of work and attention to detail of such a quick project, however...

Well we beefed up the engine a little and changed the turbo a little just to make it perform a little better. There is much better equipment available now than in 79' I would like to keep it as factory as possible but really would like to fuel inject it like the SVO's but we'll have to see.. Thanks for the note!!!! More pictures very soon!!!

If you're going that route with the motor, might as well store the (working) original and install a beefed-up SVO unit for your personal enjoyment. That way IF you decide to sell in the future, it will still be a "numbers-matching original".

Ok, over the last few months I have been compiling hard to come by parts for the Pace Car. NOS stuff like S.E.V Marchal light covers and overflow tanks, mostly the plastic parts that that get brittle. Body is ready now for final primer...Pics soon...

Back in 1985, there was a guy in my neighborhood who had the 1979 Pace Car. It was ashamed that in that little time the car was fading fast. He obviously didn't take car of it.

I had a 1982 Black on Black GT with T-Tops. I bought it in 1984 with very low mileage on it for $7K. I kept it in pristine condition...it only saw sunlight. I never drove it in the rain....it mostly stayed covered in my garage.
Four years ago, I decided to sell it. I posted it on the Internet and I couldn't believe how many people wanted to buy it. One guy drove 9 hours to see it and bought it on the spot! He wanted to purchase one as a show car.....he dropped his jaw when he saw what I had in my garage. He paid $6K in cash. Sometimes I think I should have asked for more.....but it did give me a good feeling that it was going to a good home.

Here's some pictures of it....tell me what you guys think;

VERY nice!!! You don't see many that clean! You probably could have gotten more for it but it did go to a good home so that means a lot too...

Thanks! The interior looked just as clean. No rips in the seat or cracks in the dash. When ever I drove it, I would park in Egypt and put a car cover on it.

Sometimes I do miss it!
