Speed Density Question

A friend of mine has been offered a deal an Explorer intake. He has a 92 Lincoln Mark VII LSC, with a 5.0 and speed density. Will the intake work well with the computer?

Huh? I thought the Mk VII would have received a mass air ECU from the factory the same time as the Mustang? Unless this is a aftermarket programmable speed density ECU - then your friend could re-tune it. If it really is a factory mass air car, "just slap it on", reset the computer, and drive away. Barring any ancillary item fitment issues of course.

I thought it would have been mass air also, but popped the hood and sure enough it was not. The guy offering it to him said it SHOULD work fine, but he wants to make sure before he bought it.
