Slosh Module?

Anyone have a spare slosh module for an '88 GT? From what I've read I think this is the problem with my gauges.

most of the time the problem is cracking at the terminals and it can be fixed. keep in mind that you need 87-89. 90-93 are different and don't interchange.

you can also do a test. get a 68ohm & 15ohm resister from radio shack. wire teh resistors in series and cover with electrical tape. this will give you an 83ohm tester ( roughly 83.5ohms would read 1/2 full on teh gauge ). disconnect the plug for the fuel tank sender unit. Connect one end of the resistor pack you just made to the yellow/white wire on the body side fuel sender electrical connector and the other end of the resistor pack to ground. make sure nothing else is touching then trun the key to the run position. The gauge should read 1/2 or clsoe to 1/2 full, if not then the gauge or anit-slosh are bad. If the gauge reads about 1/2 full with teh resistor in place that points to the sender has the potential problem. if the gauge reads full or empty with resistor in place then it points to the gauge or ant-slosh.

best of luck.
