i would never do that unless i was about to re-do the car's rear end, clutch, trans, and engine [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/04.gif[/img] ...thats hard on a car.

Not really, as long as you dont do it often. I did one for right at 1 minute one time, at right at redline the whole time. Car overheated, and shut off. Had to let it cool down, added some water, then drove it home. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrinjester.gif[/img] Not something I would advise on a routine basis, but fox bodies are pretty strong cars, and dont break easily. Also, anytime you engage in hard driving activity, ie long burnouts, drag racing and so forth, be prepared for something to break, because it very well may.

edit: I did check the water fairly often for a week or so after that to make sure I didnt blow any gaskets or warp the heads, but all was well.

yeah i was exagerating, any of those parts have the potential to break under that kind of stress but it more likily will just aid them in their aging process, whenever i decide to swap engines in my fox plan i prolly will take her out and near-about-kill her doing one of those [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrinjester.gif[/img]

haha, my dad did something like that at a stoplight once in front of the local CVS drug store, it was right in front of a FORD dealer, you should of seen the smoke, people we're looking at us with a [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wtf.gif[/img] face,lol it was awesome!
