Well here is the update.
The engine still seems to be tight and we don't have everything worked out.
A very heat soaked, and still a little rich engine only put down 370 RWHP, I hope there are more ponies to be had.
At the track, you could tell I have not run one since 1978. My reaction time was all over the place .250 to .500. On street tires and a 200 lb passenger, I ran 12.6 at 110 mph with tons of spinning. I think we should be able to get in the 11s.

I will post another update in about 2 or 3 weeks when hopefully we will have some more of the bugs worked out.

Also, for the fun of I ran my 03 Cobra Vert, with the stock F1 tires and a passenger, I ran 12.7 at 112 mph. I guess that wasn't too bad considering my 60' was 2.4 and I had to get out of it to stop spinning.

I got some to use. I got to get a line lock on there so I can get them hot.
I also hope to make the 401 - 450 votes be right.

nice, not bad for a motor w/ no miles. should probably go with paul and pick you up a different intake. man, with some miles, a good tune and some traction you should be good to go.

I am very disappointed at this time. I feel it should be more like 450 RWHP. I think it must be one of 3 things, 1) not enough air, intake or small SC, 2) SC robbing too much power, it seems very hard to turn, 3) exhaust restrictive.
I am open to suggestions.

Air to Fuel Ratio was good on dyno, I had plenty of fuel with the 42#ers. The boost was reading 7# on the climb. The high boost could be a sign of restriction in the intake or exhaust. The belt squeals on the SC on almost every startup, the belt stretches and needs more adjustment after just a few minutes, this could be a sign of high friction in the SC.

if i were you i would scrap the SC all together for at least a day or so. dyno it and drive it around without the supercharger and see what its like.

What throttle body are you running and MAF? I really think Pauls suggestion on the intake is a valid one.

Also I know you are only pushing 6lbs of boost, that motor could take ALOT more. I'd say 10psi would be alot more noticeable, but would be closer to teh limits of the novi1k.

How much timing are you adding? at the dist or through spark advance in the ECU?

I saw you are running BBK shorties, I think a 347 is really going to open up with some LT's as well as 3" midpipe running down into the 2.5" catback.

MAF and piping to SC is 80MM. Pipe and TB is 75MM.
I have 12 degrees timing at dist and a total of 21.
Exhaust maybe the restriction but I have seen these shorties and 2 1/2" exhaust make more than 500 RWHP.
Once I get things where I think they should be, I will look at increasing boost. The NOVI 1000 should be good to at least 500 HP.

Well it was not the intake. I changed to a Edelbrock Victor 5.0 and only gained 6 RWHP. I have come to the conclusion that the NOVI 1000 is just not enough for this engine. I kept the compression low, 9.1/1, for boost, so I have got to go get some boost.

it is loud at idle until broke in usually (centrifugal)

Keep the blower, just have it tuned, talk to crash -

Because that is a great way to heat up and tear up your rear brakes. The right way to do it is with a Line Lock.
