Removing throttle plate

I'm installing a GT 40 intake on a 1992 5.0 GT ,removed stock upper/lower removed throttle body after some pounding, now cant get TB plate to come off,tried pounding with a rubber mallet nothing its like melded to the stock upper,still won't come off :shock: , help!!!!!.....

i suggest getting a new spacer....especially if you get a bigger throtle body.....if you really want to use the one on the stock intake use a product like liquid wrench(made by gunk)....Hope i could help
