I think Ford made removable hard tops for the 94 - 99 Mustangs but was wondering if any one made them for the 87 - 93 Stangs. I have a 90 GT Vert and my top frame is bent. As a result my top leaks when it rains real hard. I've had a shop try and repair it by replacing the seals and aligning the windows but it still leaks. To fix it I need to replace the entire top frame. Not some thing I really want to do at this time. I thought it would be cool to get a removable hard top instead but I don't think any one makes them.

Any ideas???

Nobody sells them for your style, ford did make 499 95 cobras with triple black and removeable tops and a aftermarket company now makes ugly removable hard tops for 99-04 mustangs to though.

Cool, that's what I thought. I just have to decide if it's worth shelling out the money to get the top fixed or not.

Thanks!!!

yeah man the top isnt cheap to get fixed. i had the one replaced on my 86 vert a few years back. it was like 1200 w/ labor and i had alot nicer padding put in instead of the cheap factory padding. will probably be more since your frame is bent.

If I remember correctly, Ford did make 1 or 2 v6 cars as well with the removable hardtop. I remember seeing one of them in Autoweek for sale a few years ago.

I'm guessing with a new frame, seals and then labor I could be looking at spending at least $3500.00

OUCH!!!
