should i buy a rebuilt tranny or a new tranny and why other than price should i buy either one and whats the chances of a rebuilt breaking or not supporting as much torque as a new one?

rebuilt all the way. you rip out the insides and slap in the new stuff. Unless your building a 700rwhp machine you may wanna upgrade.
