I have GT taillights(they happen to be white ) I will trade you for your LX if they are good..I probably have a cowl vent that isn't perfect but will have to check.

ok... the LX tailights are good, they have a little bit of primer gray overspray, approx. 1/8 inch on the top... It could probably be removed with a little bit of paint thinner, I just haven't tried yet. Could you possibly deliver them to Gold Hill, NC sometime this month? If not could we send them through the mail safely?

Sorry but I am not heading anywhere near North Carolina anytime soon, the only option would be to mail them. They will survive the mail just fine if packaged properly...I ship parts all the time.

If the primer is dry for any length of time then paint thinner won't touch it...is the primer on the lens surface or the black area?

the top of the lens surface... the people who owned prior to me apparently never heard of masking tape... so when they sprayed the edge of the trunk it oversprayed onto the tallights a lil' bit...

If you do get them try soaking them in some Castrol Super Clean in the purple can. I use that stuff to strip paint of model cars and it really works.

Are there any cracks anywhere or any deterioration in the plastic?

as far as I've seen there is one small u-shaped crack on the top in the black plastic... it looks like someone may have set the corner of a box or something on it... I haven't taken the lights out of the car, but thats the only one I've seen so far. I am going out of town today, I won't be back until the end of the month, so if you don't mind waiting, we could work out a deal then.

Well, those aren't in as nice shape as I need for the car I am building but I'll still make you a deal on the GT lights I have. Just drop me a note when you get back into town.
