holy huge cut and paste batman.

that is definitely a good start. not sure if you thought of this but alot of people over look the freshening of the trim back to flat black. that alone can make the car look completey different depending on the wear.

that there's alot of stuff..If you haven't ordered already, I'd check a couple other web sites for prices...most notably 50resto.com. They have a flat 14.95 shipping rate on your total order, unless something is too big and has to be shipped by truck...

there is a specific auto trim paint that will last longer than a krylon flat. if you have any paint supply stores around they should be able to get it for you, i believe the stuff i found that works best is by 3m, you can also go by a collision shop and they should be able to tell you what to use. the shop that painted my car had painted my black trim in a semi gloss, to say the least i was pissed. the only thing that looks worse than that is the car being painted one solid color, i.e. window trim and quarter glass trim, i am not a fan at all.

the white overlay looks alright but it just shines through the cover. make sure you get any residue from the old guages off or it will cause a shadow.

when i was trying to decide what color to go with i was dead set on the ford pallet. my brother got me to see outdie of the box, this was a good thing because all years of mustangs have been covered with every shade under the sun. i wanted something subtle yet different and eye catching while keeping an appearance of a possible stock vehicle. lol.. i changed from orange shades to mineral grey, it is crazy how many fox's have been done, they looked good but have been done to death!

i ended up keeping a color that was a factory code, different make, so if it ever was in need of repair the color could be duplicated. just realize you are not stuck to the ford pallet but if dsg is what you decide then go fo it. stay away from greens though, i have them on lockdown..lol.. next project is going to be a new edge with a 5.4 n/a shooting for 400 or so and i already have the green picked out. good luck brougham.

I try to stay away from color changes on a car, I dunno why, but I guess it's because it's more of a pain...I give you alot of credit...I did it once on a Jeep Wrangler I had, and it was a pain...

Oh, fair enough. The only other place I would also check would be John's Mustang.

It's hard to find the best deal because sometimes the pricing is lower, but shipping is more and vice a versa...just throwin' my two cents out there...

lol.

I have a 1/24th scale model of a coupe that I painted DSG, it was enough to convince me that it's the color that I want.

My wife wants it lime green...

has anybody tried the "headlamp restoration" kits like at Autozone? I was thinking about trying one, but didn't know if it was worth the effort...

I have- the permatex kit worked kinda ok (its best part was the sandpaper to take off a lot of the yellowing), but the Blue Magic stuff worked great.

I have tried a couple different companies, but with no success...I just picked up the six piece set and called it a day.

I had some luck with the 3m kit. I am still gonna get new lights next spring, I was thinking about the 1 piece black set. I wonder what the quality is like...
