So I'm still plugging along on my 91 build and I put the dipstick tube in and got it bolted down but when I went to insert the dipstick itself it won't go all the way in. It gets all the way to where it is wavey on the top but won't go any further! What is my problem?? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

Is the tube seated correctly at the base? The only think that would be down in there is the pick up, but it shouldn't be in the way.

 

Well when I look down there at it it looks like its all the way in where it should be. I didn't think there would be anything in the way of it that's why I'm stumped. The only other thing is maybe the end of the tube got crimped or something? I'll have to take it out and give it a look.
