hello there,

Just wondering if anyone that owns or has owned a notchback ever had all new aftermarket radio and speakers and everything because I put all new stuff in and to me the sound quality is very bad. I've got all the highs I need and I don't want like window rattling bass I just want a little punch to even out the sound and I just can't make it happen. I've got a friend with an 83 Buick Regal and he's got 4 speakers and put exactly what i did in and his has incredible sound so that's about it. thanks!!

It would help people figure out what is wrong if you could elaborate a little more as to what is wrong with the sound quality, as well as tell us what kind of stereo, and speakers you put in the car.

Limited knowledge here. but, if get get static like reception when adjusting the on/off sound ****.

Or if you tend to only be able to hear it LOUD and it goes dead when you try to adjust the sound to low.

Well to solve this problem you remove the **** and spray what the ***** attached to with Electronic parts cleaner.
It can be found at auto zone like places.
It about the size of a small can of aerosol paint.

This remedy is usally only for old radios.

Yours being New tho?
Well, I think something is wired wrong.
