New Project

Just picked up this 90 LX 7-up convertible. It's in real nice driver condition with only 60K on the clock. I needs a real good cleaning and a few new trim pieces.

the only thing i could see doing if it were mine is changing it to black carpet for more of a contrast with the white than the grey, and change the wheels even if they were the 10 hole wheels that the earlier GTs had

Nice! I sold my 90 7up back in December.....I had changed my carpet and seat belts to black, looked much better IMO. I also added a '93 Feature wing and ditched the luggage rack.

This one is pretty nice for a 17+ year old car. It's been repainted and has some acid rain spots on it. I'm going to attempt to lightly wet sand it and buff it. The interior was extremely dirty. Cleaned it today and it came up very nice. Although, it needs the passenger seat bottom recovered. I also need to clean the door jambs and trunk water channel. I don't think the last owner ever wiped them down. I got it for a decent price and probably will only keep it a year or so. I want to try to at least break even, so I'm going to take it from really nice driver to as close to mint as I can get it without spending a fortune on it.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pick it up for? Looks like it's in really good shape.

I paid $7,500 for it. The pictures hide alot. It was repainted because of clear coat failure and the paint job isn't very nice. They also taped up everything instead of removing trim. I have a best friend that owns a body shop, so I'll prep the car, which will include removing everything, and we'll put a top end paint job on it. After the paint, I'll final sand it and buff. After I'm done everything and had some fun with it, I hope to break even with it when I decide to sell it.

Your right, the pics do hide a lot because it looks to be almost in mint condition. Good luck with the paint. Sharp looking car

Talking 7up 5 speed for sale

Hi
I have one of the 5 speed 7up car. I am the original owner and purchased in 1990 with only 7 miles.

It is all original and kept in a garage. I am looking for a collector to sell it to.
