Thyphoon and the edlebrock rpm are pure junk...get a holley systemax tubular gt40 or edelbrock rpm II...for heads get either trickflow twisted wedge heads or AFRs... I have a set of afr 185 heads with crane rockers less than a 100 miles for $1000 and a holley systemax intake with box upper for $500...buy both and ill do free shipping... don't mean to thread rob or be a saleman lol

You will do just fine with that intake. It flows considerably better than the holley and gt40, and the rpm II doesn't flow that much better.

You're sayin the thyphoon flows BETTER than the holley or gt40? Woooooow listen to this guy and you'll be getting embarassed all day long. Ever notice why those intake go for $200 all day...it a chinese knock off of the rpm to boot. You build the motor how you want but know almost every other intake out there will give you more power. I've had a holley systemax, the RPM II, a tubular gt40...even the rpm you have... you're call

That cheap Chinese knock off is exactly the same as an edelbrock rpm and interchanges as such. The Holley is just a truck lower with a Saleen rip-off upper and the tubular gt40 doesn't flow that much better than the cast versions.

I have done my research. Yeah the typhoon is cheap, but it still flows as well as the rpm. I'm running a ported gt40 right now, when the 331 is finished it's going to have a trick flow on it.

Im not disagreeing that the rpm and the typhoon make different hp...the typh is a REPLICA of the rpm...its like comparing a cobra intake and a explorer gt40...bottom line is they are bottom of the barrel intakes and I personally wouldn't run it on my car but just my opinion.

Yeah it is the bottom of the barrel, but for the price of it you can't complain. It isn't my personal preference either but I know it's not junk even if it is a complete rip-off.
