Aftermarket temp probe? Should have a wiring diagram with the aftermarket kit.
The temp probe will either complete a power circuit or a ground circuit. Gotta figure that out first.

Pin 85 and 86 or reversed in the two diagrams. Not really sure if it matters though. It's only the control circuit. I would probably use a heavy duty switch and use it as my relay ground. Ignition power at the relay full time. If you use the temp switch and the toggle switch as power leads, one might backfeed the other and could blow a fuse possibly. So instead of grounding the relay, use the switch as your ground. Just use a heavy duty switch and wire so you don't over heat it. With the switch an the temp sensor both just completing the ground circuit. If running A/C, you might just have to run the fan off the toggle switch. The compressor doesn't constantly run so the fans will be cycling too often to hook it to the compressor clutch. My last fox body, I just ran 1 fan all the time hook to an ignition feed and it worked fine though. It will keep your car at whatever temp your thermostat is rated for. If it was mine, I would just have the fan running off a relay whenever the key is on. You could always run a secondary toggle switch just to run the fan only between passes at the track if you wanted to.

i kinda understand what your saying do you possibly have a diagram of this to better understand? its a normal aspirated 2.3 (non turbo) so it wont be at track. its just a summer cruising car

If that's the case, just run a 190 thermostat and wire your relay to run all the time when the ignition is on. It won't hurt anything. Just find a lead in the fuse box that powers up when your key is on and use that to turn the fan relay on. The thermostat will only open past 190. Should keep her running at a constant temperature.

Not sure what temp it goes into open loop. Somewhere around 195 or so I think. It's a 2.3L car, gas mileage shouldn't be a concern. Those old computers aren't that complicated as the newer ones. My old fox 5.0L stayed at 170 and never left. Still got 18mpg out of her. You should be fine and you wouldn't have to worry about a temp switch failing on you. You could also run 1 fan direct all the time and use the second fan on a temp switch. It's up to you.
