After the H/C/I my lil coupe is running STUPID rich...If I fire it up in the morning, go get my coffee and come back outside, it's like walking into a wall of fumes. I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on order, should be here next week some time. Anyway that won't do me any good if I don't have one of these. As expected 44 psi (vacuum off) So running fat....

Where it get's installed. This kit doesn't require you to remove the actual schrader valve out of the housing. The blue adapter has a nipple that actuates the schrader valve once you
screw it on:

About ready to install. had to put teflon tape on the gauge threads. BTW, in the instructions it tells you at least 3 times not to over-tighten the gauge or the fittings.

Hopefully have it dialed in a bit more, get it back down to 39 psi where it supposed to be. Been going through fuel like crazy.

Ordered a flaming river steering shaft today. Picked this up today:







Hoping to pick up some new parts for the rear axle shortly.

 

Cool project! Helps me figure out what I want to do to mine. I post a pic of mine soon. I have already installed a MM suspension package under my car. It was pretty bad when I bought it. Looking to start on the engine now.

 

Picked this up.. It finally showed up on last thursday. Just haven't had a chance to get it installed yet. REASON for the install is because the stock rag joint is hitting the downtube on the #5 longtube. Anyway hopefully this will gain me the clearance that I need for the longtubes

 

I'm actually thinking of doing something similar to this!

Car was dyno'd prior to the HCI, which it made good power.

 

So here's the finished product:

 

Ohh okay I see I just picked up some gt40p heads aswell for about 95 dlls at a junk yard, so I'm about ready to start the same project.
I dynoed mine with the cobra Upper an lower intake, bbk cold air intake, tb, and mass air flow
And it dynoed at 230 hp and 270 tq.
Now hopefully I can port the hell out of these wads so I can be looking at around 2270-285 hp with the right cam

Steering shaft looks good. How old are your motor mounts? When I did my headers, I ran into the same problem. Replaced the original smashed down mounts and it took care of things. Just wondering.

 

Put new ones in when I did the heads/cam/intake and longtubes.

 

Wanted to do a little update:

About a week ago, while driving to work I noticed a bad vibration that kind of showed up pretty sudden. Brought the car home, and jacked it up. Figured it was maybe a u-joint. I've got a FRPP
aluminum driveshaft installed, that is fairly new however you never know. Well, as I got to the differential, and checking for radial and axial play, found that the differential pinon flange had a
ridiculous amount of play. Found my problem. Well this last weekend, I ended up down at Special Vehicle Operations (who's a very good friend of mine) who was kind enough to lend a helping hand
in helping me rebuild the rear axle. I had never torn into a rear axle (other than fluid change, and axle swap) so as far as setting up gears (backlash and preload) I was lost. Well my good buddy
gave me a really good understanding about tolerances and what not. Well as we pulled the rear end apart, we found that there were no shims installed between the carrier and the shims. You could
basically move the tapered shims back and forth inside the carrier. GREAT! As we dug deeper, we pulled the carrier out and proceeded to get the air tools out to punch the bearings off, one quick brrrrap!
and the bearings FELL OFF.....literally. We pulled the pinon gear out, to find that whoever previously set up the gears before me, never installed a crush sleeve, again bearings about fell off. Surprisingly
the gears didn't look bad. So after it was all said and done, rebuilt everything, and then even had some new goodies

So finished that all up. Then during the test drive and gear break in this happened:
NOTE, this was while pouring the coals to 2nd gear and snatching up 3rd with a Steeda Tri-Ax

It's called a Shelby Terlingua. Made by Shelby America. It has a supercharged 4.0L V-6, full suspension....

Lights were starting to get that yellow/hazed look again. Spent some time cleaning them up. Wet sanded them, and then took a variable speed buffer and some PLAST-X to em....I think they turned out good.
