I have been looking at a MSD 6 for my 89 LX will this ignition give me a boost in HP and fuel mileage???

 

if you have a stock ford electronic ignition now you will not notice any difference in performance or mileage with the MSD system .. the MSD system is largely for a higher performance application .. it will fire your spark plug on the compression and the exhaust stroke at rpm`s under 3000 so as to burn off residual fuel ..it stops plug fouling on cars with big cams and carbs .. I used to have to change plugs on my stang every few months ..then I went with MSD and have not fouled a plug in years ..
