Talking Lucky Foxes in Illinois

New emmissions rules in Illinois last week! Cars older than 1995 are now exempt from emmissions testing?

Too bad I sold my 94 a few years ago...

No way! Now I don't need to figure out how to make my long-tubes and off road h-pipe pass. Maybe I should shop for a cam.

North Carolina did this last year also. Cars 1995 and older are not emissions tested. Apparently, the testing equipment is different for a 95 and older (pre-OBD II) and a '96 and newer (OBD-II). I heard it was a cost issue here. The testing equipment was getting old and who wants to buy expensive testing equipment to test a dwindling number of cars.
