[size=4]well,,,heres the priblem. i have a brand new jensen head unit and i also bought the $10 wiring kit for my car which is an 88 stang. the problem is for the speaker harness on the car only has 5 wires and the kit piece comes with 8 wires connected to it.How the heck do i get it to work?plz help me out guys!

 

That's called a floating ground system. I haven't installed one of those in a while. I'd google "floating ground stereo" and see if you can't find some helpful info. Good luck

How many speakers did your car come with??? Does it have just four or six??? When I installed my head unit I actually got two harness, one with 8 wire and one with 5. Here's a pic from Crutchfield.com



My guess is you would need to purchase the 5 wire harness to get it to work correctly.

 

for what its worth, 5.0 Resto sells what they call aftermarket stereo bezels with proper wiring at their website
