Hick up

Hay guys im having a weird symptom... Ill be driving along and the motor i describe it as a hick up.... Like it losses spark for one rotation or something...but comes right back... Just long enough to hammer my tranny... And it not all the time once every two or so weeks.... Any body know are ever have the same problem.... Thanks

I had the same issue you're describing in my 86 GT, and it turned out to be the ignition switch.
