Header problem

I took some heads to a machine shop to get some work done to them and when they were done I went to get the. When I got home I painted them and bolted them to the block well one of my friends came over and was looking at it and told me that I have GT40P heads. And I told him no they are stock e7 heads and then he showed me the 4 bars and the stamping. So now the problem is that the headers I had will not work because of the angle of the plugs on the GT40P heads. Any suggestions that is all I have left before I can start it and I don't have a lot of money left

Have you tried the headers? Are they stock ones?

I have tried them and the plugs sit against the headers and my plug wires will not go on them. And they are flow tech headers for a stock 302

Ok. Just wondering, the aftermarket ones seem hit and miss. Youll have get another set of headers or trade heads with someone. Not much else you can do unless you want to use a BFH.

Bbk headers will work and are pretty well priced. You will still have to pull the headwrs to get the plugs out but they will work. Also 90* plug wires help tremendously.

I order ford racing shorty headears specific for the gt40 p heads. All kind of room for the spark plug wires no need for 90* boots.
