I'm converting my 90 LX from 4 lug to 5 lug.

Was wondering if the 05/06 wheels (with their large amount of backspacing), will fit on my Fox after the conversion. Lug pattern should match, but I'm worried about too much back spacing causing "rubbage".

Anybody know?

TIA,
Tom

I thought that they would fit better on a fox because they have less offset. I may be mistaken

how did you do the 5 lug?

Im putting my 05 16 inch rims and 235-60-16s on my 84. they are 27 inches tall. Im putting 96GT spindles and rear end in. The rear is .75 inches wider per side and the spindles are .3 inches wider per side. i dont think I will have any issues with rubbing.

Im also installing oem 94 springs/struts/shocks.

Im not sure how this will look, but I cant give the 05 16 inch tires away, may as well use them.

i would think that you'd need lower profile tires to fit them on a fox...but i don't have much knowledge of such things.

The stock tires will not fit but the wheels will fit fine, MM&FF recently installed a set of 05 GT take-off wheels on their project SVO.

Track width on an SVO is 1.5" more than a fox body.

However, a fox body converted to 5 lug usually picks up that much. I know that late model bullet rims fit almost perfectly on fox bodies with 5 lug/sn95 brake conversions.

So,
If you have stock track width/5 lug conversion, you'll need spacers most likely. If you picked up at least 1/2" track width, you'll prob. be close, but may need to add some spacers.

The best true way to tell is to get the BS measurments off the rims you are going to run, and then mock it up on your car...
