It had to happen sometime!

A little background. I bought my '82 from the original owner in 1990. When I went to look at the car, it had rained about 4 hours before and the roads were SLIGHTLY wet. He didn't want to let me drive the car and I told him that I would drive it before I bought it. He said it had NEVER been driven in the rain/snow.

It has never been driven in the rain/snow in 28 years. See where this is going.

Today, I took my son for his first ride in the '82. And a thunderstorm cropped up as we were driving home.

My neighbor thinks I should sell it now since it is no longer pristine.

It had to happen sometime!

Being from Buffalo originally, I've never understood the concept of living in the NE and never driving in the rain. The humidity is high enough it's almost the same thing sitting in the garage, unless it's climate controlled. I used to store my cars during the winter and then replace the headers in the spring because they rusted off anyway.

Looks like a really nice cruizer though!

That's the whole point. I have no idea why I never did.

Ya know..it's kinda funny. It's not going to melt and I drive my '08 everyday rain snow doesn't matter. The '08 still looks like it did when I bought it.

I draw the line at NO SALT!!!!
