not positive on this but i think everything from 83 to 2004 is a fox body...the only diffrence is they started dropping modulars into them around 94 i think.

 

they stopped making the 5.0 in 95. They continued the body style but they changed the motor to a 4.6 (modular) and the end of the fox body era is 93. Do you own a mustang ?

 

im pretty sure that technically fox body mustangs are the basic platform for all mustangs from 1979-2004. in 1994 the chassis was modified (not to a great extent) and called the Fox4 or SN95 platform. but at heart it really is a fox platform. i own an 1995 GT and yes it is true that the 5.0 was last seen in the 95's, the 4.6's started in 1996 and are still around today.

94-04 is the FOX-4 platform, the 4.6 is in 96 newer stangs

 

the "fox body" is 1979 to 1993. the 94-95 still had the 5.0 but are on the Sn-95 platform or the Fox-4 which is the same platform up till 2004.

 

I agree, typically the 79-93 cars are referred to as Fox bodies, and the 94-04 is the SN-95.
