Still debating on keeping the a/c...wifey says keep it lol. But im not really gonna drive it during the week....just weekends and dragstrip. Anyway just so excited and wanted to post my 9 y/o wanted to help a lil....she went through 6 pairs of gloves just by jacking the engine up hahaha

Yeah I figured you where. I'm thinking of a viper spec T56 myself when I do the 347. I had to go the astro Z I have now because I broke the stock T5 twice. The astro is holding up pretty good.

Check out the T56 magnum. Seems to be a little more friendly than the normal T56.

Thats where i bought all my rebuild parts from. Steel 3/4 fork, billet keys, new 3/4 syncro, brass fork pads and 21 spline input shaft. Seems pretty stout right now but a bit notchy. The magnum is supposed to me smoother.

How much power do you need it to handle? I think the magnum is perfect unless you have too much power for it.

Al nice setup. The T5 was one of smoothest shifting trannies IMO but has its limits. Astro builds a nice one and Iknow some guys who have decent power behind them and haven't blown them but I'm still going to sell mine and go mag. I have shifted a few mags and TKOs and they are notchy and my buddies G force is pretty notchy but sick. 1fastGT the one I'm looking at can handle some decent power for sure. what you running in the rear?

Im running 4.10 gears with 275/50/15's in the back. Horsepower goal is 350-400 n/a. Once I reach that goal im gonna go force induction...but that's not in the immediate future...gonna enjoy the car for now b4 I get into it hardcore

The T5 will surprise you to how much it will handle. My buddy had a 10sec fox that went through 5 motors and 3 different blowers. Was still running the stock T5 and dude rarely used the clutch. Maybe just lucky but impressive anyways. The T56 would probably be geared just a little better for the fox though. And yes, really notchy especially after I lost all the plastic hardware in it. Should have done a little grinding and polishing on the selector shafts while it was down.
