Appreciate it all but i was told i need some special tool to take out the lifters if thats right? I have the haynes guide manual so i mean i know how to if i fallow that but i also have an after market BBK SSI intake manifold that im ganna put in it once the lifters are switched out so i figured if i couldnt do the lifters my self id pay someone to give me a hand with it all so i do get the experience my self.
I don't know if they make a special tool or not.but when I did mine I was able to pull them out by hand.
When u start the project u will probably want to be set at TBC.so if you have trouble getting the lifter out just simply rotate the motor a little till the cam pushes the lifter up.just make sure you do 2 full turns at the crank so you end up being back at TDC .you will need to be at TDC for when you tighten the rockers down.

About the only special tool you would need is a magnetic pick up tool. Sometimes they stick a little but they should just need a wiggle then. Best advice has already been given, get a Haynes manual. Chilton manuals are great too but if you want the easy to follow one go with Haynes.
