Emergency brake cables

All,

Has anyone replaced theses? Mine is really stretched out and needs to be replaced, but I don't know what to order. Anyone have a parts list?

Thanks

Walt

For your SVO, right? Heres the cable, http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS

Not sure if theres anything else required, LRS also sells the guides but thats about it for your model.

Thanks. I didn't know if there was a third cable that the two sides tie into. Any idea ?

There was a guy on the SVO Club board who bought those from them and they were not correct, you would have to fabricate your own pins to secure them as the bracket is too wide for the factory one and they do not supply you with a new one. They said they would take them back but when he asked if they would continue selling them knowing they were not correct they indicated they would....so beware of those.

Paul;

What about the stuff at Pep Boys etc. I don't mind paying extra for the right part, and these sorts of places seem to have them.

Btw, do you have a source?

I'm not sure about the Pep boys ones....I've used replacements from NAPA before and they've worked fine but I don't often need SVO ones as I have a stash of used ones. I can probably help you there if you want to go that route. If you go with new just make sure that everything looks the same but the primary problem is the thickness of the bracket at the caliper. At least with Pep boys or other part you can compare before you buy and avoid the shipping hassle.

Napa eh? They're all over the place around here. I'll check them first.

Thanks
