I really didn't think much of this when I first got my 85' Fox but its gotten annoying recently. My dome light will come on for my hatch and passenger door but not my driver door. At one time in her past my Fox had been in a front end collision and the whole front end was replaced. Unfortunately whoever did the replacement didn't know jack about electrical. My driver side window and lock wouldn't work which turned out to be a cut wire (Yes, cut..). My hatch release, map light and gas tank popper don't work either. With the weather being colder I've moved my focus to the inside, and with that dome light not working I've really had trouble seeing. When I fixed the power window and lock on the driver side I reattached all the wires that were cut. I know I kinda rambled here but I'm just looking for a way to get my dome light to work with my driver door open. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Check for power and ground at the door jam switch on the drivers door.

 

+1, switch is either bad or loose.
