converting my 1992 convertible to a Cobra

Just wanted to get some opinions on converting my convertible 5.0 GT into a cobra.I've never seen it done.Anyone think its a good idea?

To a 93 Cobra? Why not? It would look pretty cool in my opinion.

Those ground effects don't match that LX at all, I guess thats why they say you need to have GT ground effects before you put Cobra cladding on.

Since you have a GT, Chris, I think yours would look a lot better if you did it. Go with Cervini's, you won't regret it.

I agree. I think the biggest eyesore in the pic is the fact that front end ground effects are added on instead of the nose piece not being molded as one and not having seperate fender skirts. I wonder if that is some type of home made kit.

Why not? I've seen a 5.0 notchback w/ GT ground effects and tail lights - that didn't look too good, IMO. BTW, what color is your 'vert and do you plan on using one of the factory colors available on the Cobra if it isn't already painted that way?

Yes but GT ground effects replace the molding that goes around the center of the car, so it at least wouldn't have a large seam where the GT/Cobra parts meet the LX.
