Clutch quad info

Clutch Quad:

A little info on quads. The reason for the multi hook quad is very simple to work with non-adjustable and adjustable cables. The triple hook quad isn't really a triple hook period, it still is only a two hook quad, the 3rd hook ( the shortest throw hook in the case of upr) is used to get around the patent that steeda has on two hook quads. some single quads are ment for adjustable cables ( bbk, frpp, ect) and other like maximum motor sports ment for non-adjusables. when it comes to cables imo the best cable is the Ford oem. It doesn't stretch has easy, isn't has stiff and is better made. common issue with most cables is stiffness, noise and quick wear.

has you see by the aftermarket cable on the top and oem cable on the bottom the quality of the oem cable and why it is less prone to bind.

also proper routing is key to proper function of the cable.

IMO the best set up is the maxumim motorsports quad ( steeda a close 2nd) oem cable and Fiore fire wall adjuster ( maximum motorsports & steeda also decent). I run the mms quad, oem cable and fiore adjuster.
