Changing headliner
now onto the ? there is no easy way only the correct way. The headliner is a big piece so you need to get the interior trim out of the way so it doesn't wreck it. doesn't matter if it is a notch or hatchback you need to get the back seats out, seat belts down, the rear interior panels out or layed down enough, all the upper trip that is around the headliner off including the a-piller trim, and the stubborn trim over the doors, map light & dome light then reverse. take your time and you will be fine, don't try and leave the quater panel trim and try and sneak the headliner out..bad idea. you will tend to try and bend teh trim panel to get the liner out and this could damage it and you will hate yourself or damge the headliner and you will hate yourself. it is after all a labor of love

feel free for to ask me for any more help. I redid my door panels, did map pockets, door speaker covers bunch of stuff when I did a full resto on my fox so I may be able to help you out. I'll be doing a thread on my resto project with pics shortly.
Thank you this will help alot i just ordered all of the parts from late model resto and i plan on restoring the entire interior. I also may need a little help on removing and replacing the carpet.
