Found some pictures of my old Capri at the track before I owned her. Thought I would share. I can't remember where, I think Laguna Seca?

Frank (therealmrmustang), if you see/read this is Laguna Seca correct, or anyone who may be more familiar with the track.

Just out of curiosity, why did you sold Capri?

The one pictured above was my third Capri. The car was in great shape, and I was saving each month to do a “resto-mod†(paint, 5-lug conversion, tremec, stroker, etc.). I had never owned a Mustang (but always loved/wanted one), and fell in love with the Mach’s. I went to test drive one and I was sold. Well, my current living arrangements precluded me from have numerous vehicles, and instead of saving for the Capri I used that money for a car payment. If I had the space I would have kept her, most likely.

I was caught at the right time before getting too deep into my Capri project. I only had a Tremec bellhousing, and was about to purchase a Tremec the same day I test drove a Mach.

When I have a bigger garage I will pursue another Capri. I do miss her. Just something about Capri’s that make me love them.

Great pictures, cool car--I always liked the fender flare "bubbles" on the Capri.

Jason--hard to tell from the pics, but did this Capri have the bubble hatchback?

Do you mean the hatch with that small wing going around it? It doesn't look like it has it. They r really rare. I have only seen 2 in the world. One was on ebay the other was my Uncles

Yes, it had a bubble (all of mine did) . . .I wouldn't own a Capri without the Bubble Back.

The ASC Capri's had little spoilers . . . they are rare and expensive nowadays.

Yeah, I picked up an NOS McLaren Capri rear spoiler off ebay about 4 years ago or so....it was mislisted and I got it for $140...at the time I had an '85 GS 5.0 Capri and was going to build it...but then sold the car and resold the spoiler on ebay for $400...which from what I hear was still a bargain given how rare they are....

I almost bought a blue one with the orange stripes and wheels. That was a neat car.

Great pics Jason.

Funny you should say that Paul, the one I looked at was ~ 30 miles from there, and was very clean. Probably the same one.

Yes, the 5.0HO is a great motor, lasts for a long time. I love the Capris also and the 85-86 GTs, something about them gets me.

I'd take the SVO any day as it is more of a "drivers car"....but the '86 GT has it's merits as well....but the SVO is a much better car overall.

There are downsides like parts availability....but at least the SVO bumper cover CAN be bought while the GT is a tough one to find and pricey...

Paul is right about the GT bumper, and get a SVO before anything with T-tops, I hate T-tops. A 86 GT normal roof would be great like this one....
But the svo is good looking also..........
