Im getting an 89/90 5.0 longblock and my friend has a cam from a 93 cobra. How much better is that cam to the stock 89/90 cam? Can I just swap cams without having to change anything else?

Keep in mind that the 93 cobra cam is milder than the stock H.O. cam. The cobra cam makes slightly more peak torque and slightly less peak power than the HO cam but yes you can use it , the cobra used 1.7rrs so going with stock 1.6rr will change the cobra cam specs slightly.

The power differences between the H.O. & 93 cobra cams aren't significant. IMO look for a different cam or keep the stock cam.
