Black chrome wheels

I am planning on getting a new set of wheels for my '89 LX fox. I like the cobra R style, and I have found some in a black chrome finish. They look awesome, but at the bottom of the page it says you can't treat them like regular chrome wheels. My question is does anyone have them or know how you are supposed to clean them without wearing away the clear coat.

One of my friends had Black chorme on his mustang and would use Glass cleaner on them. I don't know if that would be bad for them. But that is what he did

I would probably clean them with a quick spray detailer.

Thanks for the info. The site just made it sound like they wouldn't hold up very well. It made me a little wary about getting them.

to each thier own but I always thought the black chrome wheels looked like chrome wheels with brake dust on them for what its worth my chrome r's I wash them with regular car soap and a soft mitt and use wax on them ( not a cleaner wax) and they look like brand new.
