automatic to manual swap

could someone please let me know a parts list for switching mustang from automatic to manual. I own a 1989 fox. I love my car and don't want to buy another one just to have a manual. Thanks

It won't be very cheap. Looking at $3-4k probably to do it right. Trans, flywheel, bell housing and clutch set up. Clutch pedal, cable, quadrant. That's a start.

you really do need to buy another one just to have a manual ... buy a wrecked one or perhaps one with a blown up engine ,, that`s the best way to get everything you need ,,,

I have an automatic, and I don't want to mess up all the original center console. I'm going to buy another one that's going to be a 5 speed. You can NEVER have to many mustangs

In our tech section was the link to the T5 swap.
http://www.westcoastmustangs.com/art...ap/t5swap.html

take your time and read it, this is the best T5 swap how to out there. It has the complete list of parts, step by step removal/ install and at the bottom of the page a Q & A. no need for a donor car. you can use your AOD computer with a manual ( it is only the manual cars that cannot use the manual computer with an auto)

Really read the link and best of luck.

Hey Chick... it is an easy swap, parts are readily available and well worth the effort. Check your local craigslist or corral.net for parts in your area.

I have sold complete swap kits (pedals to driveshaft) for 1500.00 with known solid t5 tranny. Shop carefully, and if you can pick up a donor car for short money, you will be ahead of game, as you can always scrap the remnants.

I swapped mine out 15 years ago. Bought a donor, switched both cars over, and resold the donor. Other than my labor, it was free

This sounds like a solid plan.
