Audio Pigtail

I have an 81 Mustang with a Ford AudioVox Radio. I need a pigtail for the speaker wires, my connector fell apart in my hand. Where can I find one? I'm in Phoenix,AZ.

Howdy! Welcome to the forum!

That... doesn't sound right. Philco was the radio make that Ford used...?

But maybe this would be what you're looking for:

You'd have to find it. Or just order it from Scosche. Parts stores are iffy on whether or not they have such a kit, although they all have these kinds of kits hanging about. It'd be a question as to whether they have THIS kit though, in either Scosche or Metra.

And I'm not saying it's correct, because this is just vague info, really. I'm throwing a dart to be honest. If you posted pics that'd help. Maybe try to reassemble the connector with tape to give us an idea, unless it went powder.

But if it's not the original Ford harness going directly into the radio, and it's been 'jumpered' with a kit like this, this should be the kit.

If the connector is going into an aftermarket unit, though, and it's the one that blew up?

Be easier to replace the radio, frankly.

Good luck, and if you can give us more info, c'mon wid it! And welcome again to the forums!
